Good Guides:
These guides are maybe a bit more expensive than avarage, but they´re very good and if you want to learn more about the Inca Culture, it is really worth it to pay extra for a good guide instead of less for a lesser guide. These 3 guides below are good, friendly, organized and have a lot of knowledge:

Some optional excurcions:
Valle Sagrada: A day-excurcion to this Sagred Valle can be done in different ways. Whatever way you prefer, would like to recommend you to visit for sure the ruïnes on the streched sit of Pisac, with great views over the vally, The ruïnes of the Inca Fort Ollantaytambo and if possible the special salt pans of Salineras. Every day there is a small market in Pisac, only the market of Sunday is the biggest and after that Thursday and Tuesday. The church of Chinchero? Well, I guess it depents what you prefer. I would say that the first three sites mentioned are more interesting.
These tours can be done by public transportation, but isn´t very easy. You have to take a public bus from Cusco to the village of Pisac. They leave regualar from Av. Tullumayo y Av. Garcilaso. From Pisac you have to walk a few kilometres up-hill to the Ruïnes of Pisac (or you have to take a taxi). After visiting the Ruïnes you have to walk back to the village, to take a bus to Urubamba and from Urubamba to go to Ollantaytambo, these ruïnes are next to the village. From Ollantaytambo you first have to take a public bus to Urubamba, to go back to Cusco. You can also get out of the bus, after about 20 min. in Maras, to walk a few km to Salineras. Or you can take a taxi from Ollantaytambo direct to Cusco (max. 60 soles for the taxi and 3 or 4 people!), or to Salineras.
… For about 35 soles you can book this Sagred Valley tour with most of the agencies. If you book this tour with an agency, make sure that this agency visits the whole site of Pisac. It often happens that they only go to a viewpoint, give some explanations and go back to Pisac, without a good tour on this site…
Other recommendations for Cusco:
Horseback riding; Next to the regular tours you can do around the sites of Sacsayhuaman, Quenko, Tambo Machay, you can also book a tour which is called Huchuy Aosgo. You can arrange this tour for example with: Erik Adventures, Plateros324, tel.084-228475. You will leave from their office around 8:30am and will be back around 16:00h. During this time you spend a good 5 hours on your horse, riding through a pretty surrounding. Of course there are much more options to do in and around Cusco, but I guess you can better read about them in your own Lonely Planet or other guide book.
I do would like to ask for your attention about a project called: Hotel Niños, this is a special project for street children in calle Meloq. It is managed by the Dutch Jolanda and there are tours to explain about their work, around 17:00h.
I would also like to ask your attention for some of the new trekking options instead of the famous, but often full Inca Trail.
By the way on this site you can see for yourself if there is still any place left on the trail at the time that you would like to go: www.inc.cusco.gob.pe :
The Salkantay trekking, 5 or even 4 days options; The Jungle Inca Trail, 4 days; or the Ausangate trekking, 7 days.
Some of the many good restaurants in Cusco are:
Jack´s Café, at the crossing of calle Choquesaca y Cuesta San Blas, for very good coffee, breakfast and lunch!
Tres Mundos, at the end of calle Choquesaca no. 124, a little further than Jack´s; is a Dutch restaurant/bar for good Asian food, a drink and a WIFI connection.
Café Hentro, calle Plateros has also WIFI and good lunches.
Nuna Raymi, calle Triunfo 356, good restaurant with special dishes.
Pacha Papa, Plaza San Blas, is a good restaurant with good pizzas and other food.
Witches Garden, calle Intikíjllu or Loreto 125, a bit alternative restaurant with very good milkshakes, good food and lounge music.
And many more…
For Dancing:
For going out it´s the same as for the restaurants, there are many options, however I do would like to recommend 3 more special options:
El Muki Discoteca, Calle Santa Catalina Angosta nr. 110,Especially on Friday and Saturday nights this place is filled with mostly locals who dance on Latin and pop music, open until 6:00am…
Ukuku´s Bar, Plateros 316, is a more alternative bar/dancing with often live bands playing.
Uptown Club, Portal Belen 115, all right this disco is not so special except from the fact that hey give good free salsa lessons every night from around 21:30h until 22:30h.
